There's a lot of great reasons to root yourself in Rome, whether it be where you work, live, play or raise a family. The quality of life in Rome offers opportunities for continued growth and prosperity.

One of Rome's top priorities is community and economic development and the City has several municipal and non-profit agencies to provide advice and financial assistance for small, local businesses.

Rome Free Academy, the City's high school, houses a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program and 80-percent of its students graduate with at least one semester of college credit, and Mohawk Valley Community College offers free tuition to the Top 10-percent of RFA's graduating class.

Home to 10 attractions listed on the National Register of Historic Places and countless local landmarks, Rome is a historically-rich place. Fort Stanwix National Monument is centrally located in the City's Downtown, which is a bridge to connect history to the Downtown's rebranded Arts District.

Not only is Rome rich in history and culture, it's also among the most affordable and safest. Rome has ranked within the Top 10 most affordable mid-sized metropolitan statistical areas, while also ranking in the Top 15 safest and most secure mid-sized cities in the country.
